Because there are so many choices to made during our life. Many people don’t know what they really want. I remember as a kid I wanted to be a professional baseball player and a garbage truck man. I thought it was so cool the way the trash man hung off the side of the truck. as we get older our wants change many times. And getting stuck there can lead to failure because we never truly make up our minds. Before you know it we are in our 30′s and still no solid career. 2) Most people fail to have qualified mentors in their life. Most people listen to the wrong expert. Many listen to people who lack knowledge, experience, and ability to guide you. I know I use to hear it all the time from family and friends who were not in the position I wanted to be in, but they had plenty of advice and were not speaking from a position of prior experience. 3) Many expect to much to soon. Most people get started on their dreams and goals and as soon as they don’t see the results that they want to see they quit. Today many people try to take short cuts to success. Look at cosmetic surgery. Many will pay for the body they want instead of working out to achieve the same results in a longer period of time. 4) Many don’t look for feedback. Pride is a big part of this. Instead of asking for help or make the proper adjustments to correct problems or to fill the lack, many hit the brick wall. Then they quit. 5) Many people procrastinate. People come face to face with the size of the task or the reality of the risk. They then start putting things off and justifying in their heads why they have to wait until later or tomorrow to accomplish the task set fourth. If you see yourself in one of those five, then you have to evaluate yourself. Ask you if you are really ready for success. If you are then you have to defeat each of the five to move forward in building you and your business. We all fail and that’s fine. But you don’t want to be a failure. And the difference is if you failing then you continue to get up and find a way to win.
